ENDOWING OUR FUTURE
Ever since its founding over 70 years ago, Temple Beth Am has become a vibrant center of Jewish life in Los Angeles. It is known for inspiring religious services, outstanding educational and youth programs, and exciting social action and cultural activities. Even as we strive to maintain this tradition of high standards, we are constantly expanding programs and services that excite the minds and touch the hearts of our young married, single parents, young adults and seniors.
As we take stock of our congregation at the start of the 21st century – our progress, our strengths, and our challenges – it is clear that we must do whatever is necessary to ensure the long-term financial security and continued growth and development of Temple Beth Am and its Pressman Academy.
An Opportunity for YOUR participation…
Revenue from membership dues, High Holy Day seats, tuitions, and current fund raising campaigns simply do not cover all the costs of our programs and services.
We have, therefore, enthusiastically established the Temple Beth Am “Endowing Our Future” Fund. This principal sum will be invested in perpetuity and the income therefrom will be available to serve the synagogue, its programs and the Pressman Academy.
“Endowing Our Future” campaign offers an outstanding opportunity for members of our Temple Beth Am community to express their devotion to strengthening and preserving our Jewish heritage for future generations.
You may participate by considering gifts of…
· Current contributions of cash, appreciated marketable securities, including State of Israel Bonds
· Gifts of qualified real estate or tangible personal property, such as appreciated collectibles or works of art
· Gifts of qualified retirement plan assets, including IRAs or KEOGHs
· Gifts of Life Insurance policies
· Gift of the “remainder” interest of a personal residence
· Gift of Charitable Remainder Trust
· Gifts by provision in estate plans, such as Will or Living Trust
Gifts may be structured to be current “and” deferred. Unrestricted endowment gifts offer the greatest flexibility to apply funds where they are most needed. Donors may designate gifts to benefit specific areas of their interest, such as Temple Beth Am and/or Pressman Academy. Donor recognition is available for gifts starting [at $5,000 per year.] Commitments may be paid over a 3-5 year time frame.
